Tamara is a very experienced Feldenkrais practitioner having completed her training in 1991. Since that time she has taught ATM’s, administered FI’s, led workshops and been involved in the Victorian Feldenkrais governing group.
Her interest in the Feldenkrais Method® was first kindled when she read Moshe Feldenkrais’ book, “Awareness Through Movement”. She was intrigued by the concept that small body movements could have a profound effect on the way someone functioned. The notion that the mind and body actually worked as one unit but each could hugely affect the other appealed to her previous experience with meditation and Tai-Chi.
That first encounter with the Feldenkrais Method® was over 35 years ago and in the ensuing years, her love and regard of the Feldenkrais Method® has continued to grow. Her knowledge is being continually expanded by the classes that she administers and the many training courses that she herself attends.
Together with her long experience in meditation and Tai-chi, Tamara adds a richness to her Fedeldenkrais lessons to ‘Make the impossible possible, the possible easy and the easy elegant‘ (Moshe Feldenkrais).
